No one ever said making it back to the College Football Playoff is easy. For Ohio State fans, this is the first time their team is playing at the Horseshoe since their thrilling double overtime victory against Michigan. While some key contributors from last year’s team have departed for the draft, this year’s team has the right balance of youth and experience. With high expectations on them, they’ll look to give their fans some more lasting memories by beating Oklahoma again.

But the Sooners will make it tough for them. While you could argue that last year’s Oklahoma team was better, at least on paper, Baker Mayfield is a solid pick for the Heisman trophy. The coaching staff has also likely used the film from last year’s game to find areas in which to improve. While they weren’t ready for Ohio State last season, they will be this time around. And after their starters were pulled after a half from UTEP, we’ll get a much better sense of what this year’s Oklahoma team is like.

While there are a lot of good primetime matchups to choose from in Week 2, the College GameDay crew will be in Columbus, so you know which game they prefer. Here’s how you can watch the Oklahoma vs. Ohio State II.

Sportsbook Review has Ohio State listed as a -7.5 favorite in this matchup. Pretty surprising considering the caliber of their opponent, but at the same time, the Buckeyes may be talented enough to pull off another 21-point win like they did when these two teams met last year.

No. 2 Ohio State hosts No. 5 Oklahoma in a non-conference college football 2017 showdown at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. Central on ABC. Ohio State is a 7.5-point favorite, according to Vegas Insider.

The Buckeyes (1-0) beat Indiana 49-21 in Week 1, while Oklahoma (1-0) knocked off UTEP 56-7. Ohio State won last year’s meeting in Norman, 45-24.

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield clearly recalls the blowout in Norman when Ohio State came to town a year ago. The young Buckeyes dominated, quieting the home crowd in a 45-24 thumping of the Sooners.

Oklahoma didn’t lose a game after that, reeling off 11 straight victories. On Saturday night the No. 5 Sooners visit Columbus to face No. 2 Ohio State. While Mayfield and his teammates downplay the revenge factor, they haven’t forgotten the humiliation of last year’s meeting. They remember the “embarrassing” spectacle of Buckeyes players singing the Ohio State school song on their turf.

“Everybody who was here for last year’s huge loss definitely remembers that,” he said. Live streaming for Ohio State-Oklahoma is available via *Watch ESPN*
