How To Watch Seahawks vs Packers Live Stream info:

Green Bay was a mess to start the season as they found themselves in a 4-6 hole with people calling for the head of coach Mike McCarthy. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers didn’t tell everyone to R-E-L-A-X, but he had another iconic press conference where he said the coach is fine and the team can run the table. They did in the regular season as they finished 10-6, then got themselves a game away from the Super Bowl.

Seattle isn’t too far removed from back-to-back Super Bowl appearances and made it to the playoffs last year despite having a terrible offensive line which led to a season of bumps and bruises for quarterback Russell Wilson. He will hope to get more help this season and one of their potential big players is former Packers running back Eddie Lacy, who likely wants to stick it to the team that refused to sign him.

A 1-0 start will be good, but the game between these tow could matter months from now as Seattle and Green Bay should again be in the playoff picture. A head-to-head victory would give one of them a tie breaker that could be valuable later on when the postseason could be on the line.

What will 2017 hold for the Seattle Seahawks? Most people, one can assume, would think Seattle will make the playoffs this season. The Seahawks have a lot of talent. The team will also see the return of Earl Thomas. This is important. Thomas may be the second best player on the Seahawks. He also missed last year’s Seahawks and Packers game. That was the game Green Bay defeated Seattle 38-10. This was the worst loss of the Pete Carroll/John Schneider era.

Seattle went 4-0 in the preseason. For reference, so did the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are terrible. This proves how much value there is in a team winning all of its preseason games. Still, the last time Seattle went 4-0 in the preseason? 2013. The year they won the Super Bowl.

Aaron Rodgers, of course, will bring a different level of competition. The Packers will have game-planned for the Seahawks for week one. Ty Montgomery will start at running back for Green Bay. The receivers are very good, led by Jordy Nelson. Green Bay’s defense is solid as well. But Rodgers makes the team into a championship contender.

Seattle, though, will also have been looking towards week one as well. The Seahawks remember last season. This game will not make or break either team’s season, but the winner might be in a better position for playoff seeding late in the year. Both these teams should make the playoffs.

The Seattle Seahawks don’t care if they finished the preseason unbeaten and know that it provides little insight into the regular season. What will give the Seahawks a better indication of the regular season is how they fare against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday (1:25 p.m. PT/4:25 p.m. ET, KPTV-12, FOX).

The Seahawks open the 2017 NFL regular season with a difficult game against the Packers, a matchup that could be a preview of the NFC Championship game in January. The Seahawks suffered their worst loss of the 2016 season when they were blown out 38-10 at Green Bay in December.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who three a career-high five interceptions in the game at Green Bay in 2016, has looked very sharp during the preseason and he’s healthy. The key for him is the performance of the offensive line, which was shuffled once again during training camp and preseason. Running back Eddie Lacy will be extra motivated by facing his former team.

The Packers are led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who torched the Seahawks by throwing three touchdown passes in last season’s game. Rodgers has a new weapon in tight end Martellus Bennett, brother of Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett. The Packers are built to score points, but the defense – particularly the secondary – is suspect and prone to giving up big plays.
